Magnolia Express: Modern Jamgrass with an Outlaw Soul
Based out of Atlanta, Magnolia Express is a high-energy blend of traditional roots and improvisational rock. While the foundation of the band is built on bluegrass instrumentation, their sound—often described as "Modern Jamgrass"—is fueled by the spirit of the 1970s Outlaw Country movement and the fluid, "sonic stew" of the Grateful Dead.
With three studio albums under their belt, including the recent Cowboys, Saints & Pearls, the band has carved out a space for themselves on the festival circuit and in the Southeast's most storied clubs. Their sets move seamlessly from tight, harmony-driven Americana to expansive, "Roots Rock" jams designed to keep a crowd moving.
Magnolia Express isn't just playing bluegrass; they are evolving it for a new generation of listeners who value both a well-told story and the thrill of a live musical risk.
