Jacques began learning to play the violin at age six, and soon joined his father playing bluegrass, Irish, and folk music.

He has joined several ensembles, notably the Black Hills Symphony Orchestra in Rapid City, SD and local jamgrass band, HoneyWood, and he contributes regularly to his church music ministry. 

As fiddle player in Magnolia Express, Jacques continues to search out ever more innovative improvisation and expression through mastery of this inexhaustibly versatile instrument.
